What to expect in therapy?

Therapy usually occurs weekly or fortnightly, each session is an hour long. It can be done through using video calling facilities or in person. The duration of the therapy can be discussed and adapted to individual needs.

Sessions are confidential, we keep notes to help track your progress and may ask you to complete progress reviews.

Sometimes therapy involves work to do in between sessions to help you build on what you learn and get the most out of your sessions.

Usually we meet with you to do an assessment and discuss your goals for therapy. Then together we will develop a plan of how best to achieve what you need in the amount of sessions you wish to undertake.

Therapy is a collaborative process where we share repsonsibilty for figuring out the best way forward using our expertise in therapies and your expertise in you!
