At Fortitude you can access a number of therapeutic services.

  • Individual therapy.  You will receive individualised sessions, based on a formulation of your difficulties and current problems, the type of approaches selected will depend on your wishes, the nature of your difficulties and the time frame you want to work in.

  • Individual Life coaching.  You don't have to have a specific mental health problem to benefit from help, you may want to re-evaluate your life, make choices or uncover your potential. This can be done through individual coaching sessions tailored to your needs.

  • Wellbeing Workshops.  We can deliver bespoke group based packages that are educational and therapeutic in nature, these can be for a team or an organisation and will be tailor made to meet your goals.

Problems that Therapy can help you with

​Therapy can be useful way to work through many difficulties in life, some people find it is a helpful way to get an objective perspective and learn a new set of skills to cope with specific mental health problems or more general stressors. What to expect in therapy

Therapy usually occurs weekly or fortnightly, each session is an hour long. It can be done through using video calling facilities or in person (pandemic permitting!). The duration of the therapy can be discussed and adapted to individual needs.

Sessions are confidential, we keep notes to help track your progress and may ask you to complete progress reviews.

Sometimes therapy involves work to do in between sessions to help you build on what you learn and get the most out of your sessions

Types of Therapy

The therapies provided are 'evidence based', that means they are supported by healthcare research (for more information on your specific condition use the NICE icon to follow the link) and are proven to help, they are the recommended treatments across global healthcare settings.

The therapies you can undertake with Fortitude include; Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness.

Life Coaching 

​Coaching is an alternative way to approach difficult issues, it involves exploring and uncovering solutions in a supportive, empowering way. It can be used to tackle specific issues or it can be used more generally to help people uncover their potential and achieve success. Coaching can be useful for the following areas, again this is not an exhaustive list so do get in touch to discuss your needs and we can work flexibly to help meet them.

Pricing Structure 

Pricing is per session, an individual session is 60 minutes.

  • Individual Therapy £80

  • Individual Coaching £80

  • Individual Clinical Supervision £80

  • Travel if required is charged at a flat rate for the first 10 miles, then priced per mile after that.
